There are 3 macro factors to consider:
BETAG’s OPRS Program is an opportunity to:
BETAG’s OPRS Program turbocharges the skills of entry level technicians (‘C techs’) to create productive, more efficient (150%+) non-structural outer panel repair specialists
BETAG’s OPRS Skill Development Pathway provides a clear roadmap for developing a comprehensive outer panel repair capability. 16 instructor led, workshop based training days are split into 4 blocks of 4-day learning sessions, over 4 months.
The instructor led training is complemented by a Skill Development Practice Program that each student is asked to complete and report back on (approximately 1 hour per week). Results are kept under review by a BETAG trainer and used to provide personalized coaching tips for improvement.
Plus Skill Development Practice Time (approx. 1 hour/week)
BETAG's Outer Panel Repair Specialist Accreditation is awarded to technicians on successful completion of all elements of the skill development program and a formal skill assessment.
This is recognized with a completion certificate and personalized plaque.
Accreditations are maintained on BETAG’s eGuidance platform and, with the technician’s permission, will be accessible to repairers, OEMs and Insurance companies that recognize BETAG’s OPRS program.
Linking successful attainment of BETAG's OPRS Accreditation to a performance related, pay & incentive scheme also creates opportunities for shops to attract and retain technicians in today's competitive labor market.
Our OPRS Program is recognized by Nissan NA as part of their Certified Collision Training Program in the US. It is also used globally by BMW Group and by Toyota & Ford across Europe.
BETAG offers a wide range of additional resources to technicians before, during and after the OPRS skill development program, which are intended to encourage continuous learning and create opportunity to ask for specific help or advice about outer panel repair.
